How to use the archive
Search for a five-letter word to check whether it has appeared, or use a known date or puzzle number to find a specific result. When filters are available, combine them to narrow the list rather than scrolling through years of entries.
- Word search: useful before choosing a guess or checking a remembered answer.
- Date search: useful when you remember when you played but not the word.
- Puzzle number: the cleanest way to identify one edition across time zones.
- Newest-first view: best for checking recent puzzles without seeing today.
Archive spoiler policy
The archive stops at yesterday. The daily system validates the exact date before publishing, keeps tomorrow’s prefetched record private, and never substitutes yesterday’s word when today’s source is unavailable. That same separation prevents a future or current answer from leaking into this page.
If you have not completed yesterday’s puzzle, any historical archive can spoil it. Use the search and reveal controls carefully.
Can Wordle answers repeat?
Do not assume that every previous answer is permanently removed from consideration. Editorial practices can change, and modern archives have recorded reused answer words. Past appearance is useful context, not a rule that excludes a candidate today.
The archive may therefore show the same word more than once on different dates or puzzle numbers. A repeated word is stored as a separate puzzle record rather than being silently deduplicated.
What past answers can teach you
History is most helpful for learning structure, not predicting a secret schedule. Browse previous words to notice common opening consonants, final E or Y patterns, vowel balance, and repeated letters. Then apply those observations as gentle priors—not hard rules. Use the five-letter word finder to explore a structure without treating it as a future-answer list.

How the archive updates automatically
Your existing Wordle Automation Toolkit fetches and validates each daily puzzle, gradually recovers missing history, and stores records privately. This companion plugin renders those records through the archive shortcode. A scheduled maintenance task refreshes the archive page’s modified time after the daily record is available and clears WordPress object caches.
The page itself contains no hand-edited answer table, so there is nothing to rewrite each morning. If a fetch fails validation, the archive keeps the last verified history rather than publishing an uncertain word.

Does this archive show today’s Wordle answer?
No. It is intentionally limited to completed puzzles through yesterday. Today’s answer remains behind spoiler controls on the homepage.
Can I search by puzzle number?
Yes, when the connected archive interface exposes its search field. Enter the number without relying on a date conversion.
Are repeated Wordle answers possible?
Yes. Do not eliminate a candidate only because it appeared before; editorial policies and answer reuse can change over time.
Why is a past date missing?
The automation may still be recovering older history, or the record may have failed exact-date validation. It fills gaps gradually without exposing unverified data.
How often does the archive update?
Daily puzzle data is handled by Wordle Automation Toolkit v2.3.0. This page reads the verified history dynamically and receives scheduled cache and modified-time maintenance.
